Mutual Funds
Understand the scheme before comparing its returns. A mutual fund pools investors’ money into a portfolio; its asset mix and mandate determine the risks you take.
Read the scheme objective, portfolio, risk disclosures, expense ratio and exit conditions.
NAV is a dated per-unit valuation. A low absolute NAV does not by itself establish that a scheme is cheaper or better.
No NAV feed is published in this panel. Use a scheme’s dated official disclosure for valuation.
An offer document, an open application window and a confirmed listing are different stages. Research the issuer and the issue terms before treating an announcement as an available investment.
Verify the RHP/DRHP, price band, lot size and official opening and closing dates.
A subscription multiple describes recorded bids at a stated time; it does not guarantee allotment or a profitable listing.
Issue cards appear only through the existing approved IPO catalogue. News2Wealth does not collect application funds.
A bullion benchmark, jewellery quotation and exchange-traded instrument describe different things. Keep the product, purity, weight, currency and quotation time together when comparing information.
For jewellery, understand the purity markings and use BIS’s official consumer resources.
Separate the metal reference from the complete retail quotation, product costs and resale conditions.
No live gold price or jeweller quotation is asserted here.
Silver product information should identify fineness, weight and whether the figure concerns a physical product or a financial contract. Gold and silver references should not be treated as interchangeable quotations.
Read the applicable product specification and purity information.
Confirm the unit and all retail or contract costs before comparing figures from different providers.
This section explains silver product information. Confirm a current, dated quotation with an authorised provider.
Crude-oil reporting can refer to different benchmarks, baskets, currencies and delivery periods. A benchmark movement does not translate directly into the same change in a local retail fuel price.
Read the named benchmark, currency, unit, date and delivery period together.
Treat physical-market statistics and exchange-traded derivative contracts as different datasets.
Crude quotations are not republished here while source-reuse terms require clarification.
An exchange-traded fund is bought and sold on an exchange. Its trading price and the value of its underlying portfolio are related but are not the same field or the same observation.
Read the tracked exposure, fund costs, trading liquidity and relevant tracking disclosures.
Allow for brokerage, demat or other applicable transaction costs rather than comparing headline expense ratios alone.
This panel explains ETF valuation and costs. Live exchange prices are not supplied here.
A bond is a lending instrument with issuer-specific terms. Coupon, price and yield measure different aspects of it, and a change in market price can matter if it is sold before maturity.
Check the issuer, maturity, payment terms, liquidity and credit or interest-rate risks.
Government securities also carry market-price risk when sold before maturity; a stated coupon is not a guaranteed resale return.
Read the official security terms and a dated, authorised quotation for a current yield.

In July 2026, U.S. imports of crude oil from Venezuela averaged 701,000 barrels per day (b/d), the most since May 2017, before decreasing to 655,000 b/d in August, according to data published in our Petroleum Supply Monthly
Particularly high refinery margins for distillate fuel oil and jet fuel have contributed to shifts in the refinery yields of major products in 2026. Data from our latest Petroleum Supply Monthly—which includes data through August 2026—indicate refinery yields of gasoline have decreased significantly this year to support increased production of distillate fuel oil and jet fuel, sometimes referred to as middle distillates due to
Global crude oil refinery inputs fell by 4.8 million barrels per day (b/d) in the second quarter of 2026 (2Q26), or 6%, following the start of conflict in late February in the Middle East, according to data from Kpler. Throughput then increased by 1.8 million b/d in the third quarter, primarily as refiners in the region adjusted to new trade flows.
Utility-scale solar developers are increasingly co-locating battery storage with new solar photovoltaic capacity. As of September 2026, over 16% of new utility-scale solar capacity added this year is co-located with operable battery storage, compared with 2% in 2017, according to data reported to EIA by operators.
Colombia is importing more liquefied natural gas (LNG) as domestic production continues to fall. A potential drought this fall and winter could limit the availability of hydroelectric generation and boost the country's demand for natural gas power generation. Colombia's government has declared a national disaster in anticipation of a drought resulting from an expected strong El Niño.
The U.S. refinery fleet has run at higher-than-normal rates this year, with refinery utilization averaging more than 95% of capacity between May and September, the highest for those months since 1998. Tight global product supplies this year have boosted margins for petroleum products, particularly for diesel, incentivizing the increased run rates.

In the third quarter of 2026 (3Q26), 23% of new light-duty vehicles sold in the United States were hybrid electric, battery electric, or plug-in hybrid electric vehicles, down slightly from 24% in 3Q25. Between 3Q25 and 3Q26, hybrid electric vehicles continued to gain market share, reaching 16% of light-duty vehicle sales. Growth of hybrid electric vehicle sales has slowed this quarter as the average transaction price for a ne

We estimate that U.S. generation from small-scale or rooftop solar photovoltaic systems (smaller than 1 megawatt of capacity) has increased from 18,812 gigawatthours (GWh) to 92,979 GWh over the last decade. The four states with the highest generation of small-scale solar in the country-California, Arizona, Texas, and Florida-are in regions with more abundant solar resources. Even though it is in a region with lower solar reso

We expect energy expenditures this winter to vary because of diverging trends in energy prices among fuels and regional variation in forecast temperatures. We expect that lower prices for natural gas and propane will drive decreases in expenditures this year for the half of U.S. households heating with those fuels. Higher prices for electricity and heating oil drive increased expenditures for households heating with those fuel

U.S. propane exports increased to 2 million barrels per day (b/d) in the first half of 2026, 11% more than during the same period in 2025. Increased U.S. propane production and changing trade flows, particularly increased exports to India and other countries in South Asia, drove propane exports to a record high of 2.1 million (b/d) in April 2026. Since then, total propane exports, including exports to India, have continued at

We estimate light-duty electric vehicles in the United States consumed 8% more electricity during the first six months of 2026 than in the last half of 2025 (2H25) in our Monthly Energy Review, down from the 13-24% growth seen in six-month periods in recent years. The slowing electric vehicle electricity consumption growth followed a decline in sales after U.S. federal tax credits expired in September 2025. Overall, U.S. light

The Henry Hub natural gas spot price averaged $2.93 per million British thermal units from June through August, 6% less than the same period last year. Prices were lower this summer despite exceptionally hot weather that increased electricity demand for air conditioning. Natural gas-fired power plants often help meet higher demand during such periods.

Publicly traded companies represent a tiny share of the total number of companies producing crude oil and natural gas in the United States, but they make up a large share of U.S. production. In 2025, publicly traded companies accounted for just 2% of about 12,000 oil and natural gas producers but produced 68% of the crude oil and natural gas in the Lower 48 states.

The price of distillate fuel oil, often sold as diesel, is driven by the price of crude oil, retail margins, distribution costs, taxes, and crack spreads, the indicator we use for refining margins. Tight global supplies of distillate fuel oil and elevated crude oil prices have driven prices higher in recent months.

What are crack spreads and why are they elevated? Crack spreads are indicators of the profitability of refining crude oil into petroleum products such as gasoline and diesel. One common crack spread is calculated by subtracting the spot market price of a gallon of crude oil from the wholesale price of a gallon of refined product. Since May, the gasoline crack spread in New York Harbor has averaged about $1 per gallon (gal) hig
